This year the festival will be held the 25th of September. The festival will start at 09.00 with a opening ceremony and there will be paralell sessions with talks, debates, matchmaking, and launches throughout the day. All talks will be in English unless stated otherwise.
Food & Beverages
Food is NOT included in the ticket price, but can be purchased on the festival site from different providers. Water and coffee will be made available at designated areas. You will be able to pay with card at all places.
Make sure to register when you arrive in order to receive your Cutting Edge badge. Without it you would not be able to get in and activate all your benefits as a festival participant.
First-come, First-served bases
Cutting Edge is not a standard conference. It is like any other festival you have been to. You can come and go as you like or stay the whole day from 09:00-19:00. People are seated on a first-come, first-served basis – in the order of arrival of people or request.
The festival is held at Oslo Science Park, centrally located only 8 minutes from Oslo city centre at the the University of Oslo campus. Over 300 companies and research organizations resides here, including the start-up incubators Aleap and StartupLab. The park also functions as a conference center, with multiple events and meetings hostet throughout the year.
We have two main stages at Cutting Edge – talks only
By subway (T-bane)
From the city center, take line 4 or 5 in a westward direction, to Forskningsparken station. Follow the signs and the footpath to Forskningsparken.
From the city center, take line 17 or 18 in the direction of Rikshospitalet. Get off at the Forskningsparken stop. Follow the signs and the footpath to Forskningsparken.
Take line 23 (Lysaker-Simensbråthen) and get off at the Gaustad stop. Follow the signs to Forskningsparken. It is a 10 minute walk.
Drive the Ring 3 motorway. Between Gaustad and Ullevål stadium, take off at the exit to Rikshospitalet. A few hundred meters before the Rikshospitalet, follow the sign to Forskningsparken.
There is guest parking in the parkinghouse.
From the airport
From Gardermoen airport, the easiest way is to take the bus called Nor-Way Flybussekspressen, line F3 (Gardermoen – Bekkestua). Get off at the Gaustad/Rikshospitalet stop (approx. 55 minutes). Cross the footbridge over the motorway and follow the signs to Forskningsparken building. Alternatively, you can take the Airport Express Train (Flytoget) from Gardermoen airport to the Oslo Central Station. Take the subway (T-bane) line 3, 4 or 6 in a westward direction. Get off at Forskningsparken station, follow the signs and the footpath to Forskningsparken.
