Ed Gillespie is a keynote speaker, writer, communications specialist, serial entrepreneur and futurist. He is the author of ‘Only Planet – a flight-free adventure around the world’ a book about his circumnavigation of the globe without getting on a plane, which the Independent said “Allow[s] the world’s flaws and beauty to seep into your soul”. Gillespie’s core talent is to take the complex, interconnected, interdependent nature of the many urgent challenges the world faces, from climate change to disruptive competition, and make common sense of them for non-specialist audiences.

Erik Solheim

Erik Solheim is a well known global leader on environment and development as well as an experienced peace negotiator. He served as Norwegian minister of Environment and International Development from 2005-12. During that period he initiated the global program for conservation of rainforests. He brought Norwegian development assistance to 1%, the highest in the world. Erik has been chair of the OECD Development Assistance Committee (the main body of world donors) 2012-as well as Executive Director of UN Environment. Erik led the peace efforts in Sri Lanka as the main negotiator of the peace process and has played a vital role in peace efforts in Nepal , Myanmar and Sudan. Currently he is senior adviser at World Resource Institute and Convener of the Global Coalition for Green Belt and Road.

Kongstun Arnesen is a MD with both more than ten years of clinical experience and experience from the Pharmaceutical Industry. He is currently the CEO at Ultimovacs, and has held positions such as Medial Director Norway BMS, Medical Director and Head of Clinical Operations at Boehringer Ingelheim. He is a member of The National Commission for the Investigation of Research Misconduct in Norway and at the Norwegian Pharmaceutical Industry Association.

Frederic Hauge founded Bellona in 1986, at the age of twenty. Through academic work, legal action and non-violent activism, Bellona has changed the opinion and set the agenda on environmental issues in Norway for almost three decades. The work of the Bellona Foundation has led to concrete changes in environmental policy and awareness among political and business leaders, both in Norway and internationally.

iHuman – the development of AI and how it might change everything

Tonje Hessen Schei, Filmmaker

The director, Tonje Hessen Schei, is a Norwegian award-winning documentary filmmaker who has worked with independent documentary production since 1996. Tonje is the director of DRONE, a documentary on the secret CIA drone war. The film also won the Norwegian Gullruten and Amanda awards, the Golden Nymph Award and received the award for The Most Valuable Documentary of the Year at Cinema for Peace in Berlin. Tonje has been featured in national and international media, including The Guardian, Monocle, VICE, Wired and has been on the BBC and CNN.

Morten Irgens is Chief Development Officer at Kristiania University College, Dean of School of Economics, Innovation and Technology at Kristiania, Special Advisor at OsloMet, Core Executive at the Confederation of Laboratories of Artificial Intelligence Laboratories in Europe (CLAIRE), Board member of the Norwegian Artificial Intelligence Research Consortium (NORA) and initiator and member of the Steering Group of “Lytt til oss” (Listen to us”). He holds a PhD in Computer Science from Simon Fraser University.
